They had a 200 yd range above the 100 yd range. They had to close it because neighbors over the hill claimed that rounds were skipping over the hill into their property. After that they lowered the roof height and added the overhang to keep people from shooting over the 100 yd targets. I'm only 6' but when I stand I can't see my 100 yd target as my sight is blocked by the overhang.

Big Pimping, yes, that can happen. My favorite is to play hookie from work and go on a weekday, no lines. I was there on a weekday with only one other guy shooting so the RSO said just let me know when you guys want to stop and check targets.

If only Chabot was open on weekdays...
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...

I shoot at Livermore during the weekdays, no waiting. The benefits of retirement.
If you end up having to shoot on the weekend you've already seen the comments on waiting. It can be worse if you show up when an NRA class on handguns is being taught. The schedule for those classes is on the LPRG web page.

Seriosly this. I sat up just a little and put a 3.5in slug through the edge of it.

My buddy i was with and i looked at each other wondering what the funny noise was, then i saw maybe 1/3 of the slug shape there.

But it is a solid range, with a few rules that may have you scratch your head.

It is also a trip looking down while people fire ahotguns up at you. You stop and wonder 1 dumbass with a 3 1/2in chamber decides to load some 00 or a slug.
