    Shooting/Camping Location

We are having a guys shootn'n sh*t weekend and looking for somewhere to go. We live in the Sacramento area and would like to drive no more than 3 hours. Recommendations are greatly appreciated! We would like to -

Be able to shoot w/o bothering anyone
Would like to be able to lake fish
Need to be able to camp
Nevada is ok since we could use >10 rd mags
We are able to to 4wd into place
    Some good scenery
    Maybe do some 4 wheeling

    Thanks!

    Sly Park/Bonetti Road!
It was just an old plywood boat, with a '75 Johnson, with electric choke. A young boy, two hands on the wheel, I can't replace the way it made me feel.

Go to the Rwildhorseranch.net. Located 36 miles west of Red Bluff.

Tahoe National Forest Fiddle Creek Camp Ground off hwy49.There is a gravel pit across hwy49 from the campground located behind The Outpost.Oh and I almost forgot the Yuba river will provide the fish or the Alpine lakes of Plumas County 45min northeast off hwy 89.
        Keep it simple!

Go anywhere off ice house road. Good places up there and only a couple hours north of sacramento.

Plenty of great places up off of Hwy 70 North East of Oroville. A bunch of us went up there last year and you can pretty much shoot wherever you want, once you get out over the first ridge.

I collect Military Arms and enjoy shooting in local matches. I also collect older Lever Actions, especially those chambered in odd/old cartridges. If you have a nice old Winchester or Marlin in 25-20, 32-40, 38-55, 40-60, 45-70, etc etc, please PM me and we can work out a deal.

Gold Lake 4x4 campground in the Sierra Buttes. You can fish from your tent, 4x4 into camp and many places from camp, shoot just about anywhere out of camp while wheeling and there will be very few if anyone aroumd. Takes me about 2.5 hours from Roseville.
