Another shooting (yawn) around back last night

Last nights' shooting in the projects was pretty poignant. For me, a typical Saturday night. Good food, some laughs with the wife, a couple beers, surfing the net and watching a movie out of the corner of my eye. Earlier in the evening my wife and I had joked about the possibility of hearing gunshots. My wife said of course we will, it's saturday night. So around ten pm I heard the familiar sound of someone going through a mag. Within three shots I had identified it as probably a .40S+W, by seven shots I was on the back porch, the shooting was about 40yrds away and the flashes were lighting up the buildings nearby. I counted fourteen or fifteen shots, I lost track because I was also paying close attention to the sounds of rounds zinging around. Just like every other shooting I have seen around here, the silence is broken by witnesses and possibly the shooter getting into vehicles and driving away. Once they were gone, the ensuing silence only lasted seconds. Friends and family of the vicitm started arriving at the body's location. One lady was screaming for an ambulance. I was thinking what could a paramedic do for someone who was shot fourteen times? Pretty soon there was a depressing chorus of crying, screaming, and lamentations that lasted until they were drowned out by the sirens of an ambulance and fire-truck. The dogs were all barking too but I silenced my dog. His angry barking has been the last thing many dying people have heard as they passed on, but this time I was in a somber mood and prevented him from barking. The cops eventually showed up but didn't hang around long. The ambulance left in no hurry, so I assume he was DOA. An hour later the hood was drop-a-pin quiet.

So what's the point? Pretty obvious to me another out-of-state gun was used in an execution. I wonder how well Strawman sleeps knowing his wares are destroying his race. Stuff like this just smashes my chances of finding a roommate!!

Have you thought about maybe...moving since this appears to be a regular occurance?

Lastly who in the hell moves towards the sound of a gun firing when your immediate family is not in danger? WTF!?

Why? Good people move out of bad neighborhoods, leave it to the gangsters to report crime to the police? Good people leave bad neighborhoods, bad neighborhoods fill up and spill over into good neighborhoods.

A concerned citizen who is brave enough to be a good witness when no one else will.

I should have mentioned that I am dumb as hell. I always go towards gunfire, some kind of genetic eff-up I think.

If I move I will probably move to Richmond anyway.

In this hood, strawman is higher up on the food chain, drives out of state, gets handguns, comes back to SF, sells them to kids out of his car, some of the kids he knows their parents and other relatives......

There is so much wrong with your story. Why would you run outside where there are bullets flying around? How do you identify the shots as being 40 S&W? and only after three rnds? Why not 45ACP or 38 special or 9mm? How do flashes "light up buildings"? How do you know the gun was from out of state? Please don't provide any updates to this story. I've read better quality writings in Penthouse Forum.

All of your questions above are easy to answer if this is common where you live. I can determine caliber when I hear shots at home or at the range. Muzzle blast reflects off buildings....DUH. It causes a flash!

I doubt these guns are from out of state, more from home invasions. Some are infact from out of state. Criminals have cooler guns then we do. I have seen some of the coolest guns on the streets. I have even been offered grenades by a certain Vietnamese gang. I would have been interested in buying only 2, but the minimum was a crate of 50. Also US military weapons are all over the streets too. If you don't live where this happens, don't bother trying to understand or comprehend it.

Strawman..lol,come on man, lets be realistic. Ive been around the hood and never was there mention of any strawmen. Why wouldnt those kids just buy from a local hood rat? Is there some craigslist posting of when the strawman comes into town? Is he like the ice cream man where he has a song playing on the speakers as he drives through the neighboorhood?

I have though been offered stolen guns many times, and refused them all. One friend of a friend took me to his garage at his moms house and showed me about 10 automatic rifles...which were lying next to 3 pounds of crank. I passed up on that offer too...and couldnt wait to get the hell out of there.

The only time strawmen are even a remote reality is near the east coast where states or cities have restrictions that makes any gun ownership impossible, so it creates a market for people to go out of state and back within the same day. Califrornia is hardly one of those states.
