Good Evening,
I'm new to this forum and not really a very knowledgeable gun person so bare with me if I am doing this incorrectly and please advise if I am not in the correct category. I have read the posts here but can't find any recent regarding this topic and I think some laws may have changed. What I would like to do is post an ad for the gun along with all the pertinent info and photos with asking price. If I can find a local individual who is interested I would like to meet them at a local gun shop to complete the transaction. My question, is this legal in CA.

Ca legal, would be I believe your only requirement.

The key bit that makes it all legal is after he hands you the cash you walk into the gun shop together and say "Hello, we'd like to do a private party transfer." The shop will handle all the legal paperwork, collect the fees for the legal stuff from the buyer, and so on and so forth. After 10 days the buyer returns to the gun shop and picks it up but at that point it's not your problem.

Call the shop in advance - sometimes these transfers are low priority and take a while so you'll need to do it well before their usual closing time.
