Legal Question - Ammunition

I have a question for anyone who is familiar with Los Angeles ordinances on ammunition. When you buy ammunition at a gunshop in LA, you have to be logged in the book and have a thumb print taken in the book.

How does it apply for private party sales in LA? I want to sell some ammunition and I would like to be in compliance with the regulations. Maybe I should sell it out of the city limit of LA?

Any information would be appreciated.

sell it it doesn't apply to you unless you are selling a ton of stuff then they might get interested. Or drive to Burbank.

I am thinking about selling a few cases of 9mm and some misc. ammo. I need to check my closet, but I have at least 2 unopen cases (1000 rounds each) of Federal HydraShok 9mm ammo, all the same lot. I also have a few hundred rounds of LC green tip 5.56 ammo.
