FSB threaded barrel

So the law is confusing on whither or not it must be pined, welded or non of the above. I have seen search of pistols only and I have seen them for semi-auto rifles. I would like to change the FSB to an AK74 Do I just press it on and no worries or do I pin it, weld. ect. Being that it is a sight block and not the barrel threaded, does it mean the same thing in the law?

FSB and barrel threads have nothing to do with one another. There is no requirement to pin or weld a FSB, just that requirement for muzzle devices that extend a barrel to min legal length
