Gun broker doesn't ship to Ca ?

I found a handgun on GB but says no sipping to Ca & NY.

Is this a stead fast thing with there site or the clients ?, or simply do not know or understand SSE for Ca.

I'm not a member of GB ( have not subscribed yet ) so unable to contact owner, and not sure if it's worth the trouble, or is it.

Have any of you folks purchased out of state off Roster HG on GB successfully, and had it SSE'd without drama.

    Thanks...

It's not a Gunbroker deal, it's up to the individual seller.

This is a common issue on GB. You have to read the seller's description as to whether or not they'll ship to CA. Find a seller with good feedback, that is FFL and willing to send to an FFL here (you'll have to find one).

find a middleman ffl, you can also try to talk to the seller.

It is the seller prerogative to ship to CA and not Gun Broker's.

Unfortunately, some sellers don't want to ship here.

I work with many gun dealers on gunbroker that will not ship directly to CA FFLs.

Not the biggest issue. There's always a seller that will ship to CA, but if the pistol in particular is a rare find or something of that nature, you can always have it shipped to an FFL like Table Rock Arms in Oregon who will then ship the pistol to your FFL in CA.

Some state that they need CADOJ approval to ship to Ca? What's up with that?
I have others saying that if my FFL will accept it, they'll ship it.
Even if they don't specify, I contact them to make sure they do before bidding.

would directing them to the CADOJ Safe Handgun Roster do the trick?

it says right there what is approved to purchase, how much more do they want, sheesh

I don't know man. If I'm selling a black rifle I'd be hesitant to ship to CT and NY because I do not know their current gun laws. I doubt many of you are familiar with CT and NY or any other nanny state laws that might get the seller in trouble. Keep in mind it is up to the seller to know if the weapon is legal in the buyer's state or not.

If you desperately want a pistol then use a middleman FFL like AudioPhil but most of the time I've been lucky enough to find a CA friendly company that stocks the gun(s) I want. Euro Optic and Osage County Guns are both CA friendly sellers that will ship guns for SSE.

i have bought guns from vendors on GB whom state that they dont ship to CA.

i think they state this generically so they wont be responsible for gun sales that arent legal in CA.

just get in contact with the vendor.

More LAWSUITS start in CA than many places.... small time FFLs don't want to risk our nonsense....

FFLs do need to contact the state DOJ to get a reference / tracking # when shipping a handgun into CA-

                          About CFLC

California Penal Code Section 27555 prohibits all Federal Firearms Licensees (FFLs), other than Type 03 or 06 FFLs, from shipping firearms to an FFL in California unless, prior to delivery, the FFL intending to deliver, sell or transfer the firearms obtains a verification approval number from the California Department of Justice (CADOJ) Bureau of Firearms. This includes transfers that occur at gun shows.

The verification approval number, which the Bureau of Firearms provides in a Firearms Shipment Approval letter, confirms that the intended recipient of the firearm shipment is properly licensed and listed in the state's database of persons/entities authorized to receive firearm shipments. If the intended CA FFL recipient is not listed in the state's database, the transaction will result in a Do Not Ship letter, and it is a crime for the intended recipient to receive the firearms (Penal Code Section 28465).

As a courtesy to impacted FFLs, the Bureau of Firearms has established an Internet application that is available to FFLs nationwide 24 hours a day 7 days a week (24/7) to obtain Firearms Shipment Approval letters. All Internet transactions will be handled on a secure server, and the information provided will be used solely for the purposes associated with the administration of the CFLC program. For FFLs that do not have Internet access, the Bureau has established a telephone service that allows nationwide FFL shippers to enroll and obtain Firearms Shipment Approval letters via telephone or facsimile prior to shipping firearms to a California FFL. However, the telephone service availability will be limited to Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.

For additional information regarding this new program, please refer to our CFLC Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).

There are some that ship to Kali. You have to find them or ask them. Don't be surprised if you come across haters that belittle Kali and the laws.

It's all a part of being a gun owner in California. Truthfully with middleman FFLs I have been able to obtain every gun that I want which I can legally own and afford
