If you could start all over right now would you go 650 or 1050?

      The 1050 isn't covered by Dillon's "no-BS" guarantee.

Having used all or them, I would go 650. The 550 is a wonderful press and change over is easy. It is a close race between the two, but there are a couple fetures on the 650 I like. The 1050 just isn't worth it in my opinion.

And for match rifle ammo a single stage is my first choice.

The 550 isn't bad, but try to load on a 550 for two hours and then go directly to a 650 for two hours.

The 650 is worth the extra money, the 1050 isn't.

Dillon service has always been top notch in my experience.

Just a comment, I think the 1050 doesn't have the full "no bs" warranty because it is often used in commercial reloading setups. The others are more for the individual reloader, so that seems to be why they offer the warranty on those. I seem to recall reading this somewhere (not in Dillon's catalog though).

                  auto indexing

Also, the SDB and 650 have auto indexing so your chances of double charging a round are a lot less than manual indexing reloading machines.

One time, I got a primer stuck in one of my primer tubes. I just started reloading and neglected to get several extra tubes. Well, I called Dillon and got a free one in the mail within 3 days. I seriously wonder if RCBS or Hornady will provide you with the same kinda of service!

Dillon is amazing. I've broken more stuff due to idiocy, and when I call for a repacement, they ask why, I say I broke it 'cause I'm a moron and order another part and then it comes in the mail no charge.

                      Dillon is the best
I've worked my way up from SDB to 550 to 650
the No BS warranty is why I won't bother with a 1050.
That and the fact that I don't need that kind of capacity anyway
I've launched springs and pins to every corner of my garage and they have replaced them all at no charge

I can vouch for RCBS service. Broke a decapper pin assembly, damaged a .30-06 die, and a broken primer funnel. All quickly replaced after a call to RCBS.

I own a XL650, but have always wanted to try the 1050. If I ever come into a spare 1500, I might pop for it. Load 9mm on the 650 and 45 on the 1050.

+1 on RCBS service. I broke my powder funnel and they send me 2 (large & small) free of charge. They also sent me free pistol drum for my powder hopper when I told them that I have rifle drum.
