Bring Guns to Ca

I work in Ca, grew up in Ca, but presently live in Las Vegas. On the occasions I drive into work, i make sure the piece I carry has a Ca legal magazine. My current job would pay me more if I were to stop being a remote worker and move to back to Ca and live in Sacramento.

I am debating this move, but I had several questions that would determine if a slight pay raise is worth the effort.

Living in Nv for the past 6 years has let me acquire some firearms that are would never be sold in Ca, either due to features, or magazine the firearm was shipped with.

If i were to change the features installed on my guns to make the Ca compliant, such a s bullet button, would I legally be allowed to import them, or would they be treated as if the original features still existed?

If i were to entrust a friend will all of the magazines for my sidearms that were sold with magazines greater than a 10 round capacity, would Ca allow me to legally import those sidearms?

As long as they are only banned by feature, rather than by name on the AWB list, yes you can bring them in if you make them featureless or BulletButton them.

Yes. I believe there is a form you must register them with, within 30 days of moving them here.

Thank you much. They do not appear to be on any AWB list by model, since the models were created after the list was finalized in the early 2000s. I will definitely read up on the matter.

There are so many factors to consider when moving - for any reason.

I am somewhat sheepish in saying this but forget the firearms for a moment (just a moment)

How "slight" is the pay raise? IF it's not much more than 10-15 percent I wouldn't even consider it (CA income tax depending on your income level is just under 10% for most income levels). Cost of living? Housing?

If I lived in one of the 8 or 9 states with no personal income tax - given that (plus cost of living) - I would have to make at LEAST 50% more - minimum for me to consider.

But hey, that's just me - I'm sure you have put those considerations in your thought process as well.
