This was not a group buy gone bad. I placed an order with a online business and I along with a large group of people have been robbed.

I am very angry but im not stupid enough to threaten anyone online. I value my freedom.

I have contacted my the bank. My bank has been tryin to contact them also.. No response.

I do plan on goin by DWPs place of business. I would think that I have the right to politely ask them in person why they wont refund me the 900 plus dollars they so clearly owe me.

If DWP is legit I wouldnt think they would not have a problem with me being in their lobby asking for a check.

I dont think the address is legit. Im pretty sure im out the money along with a lot of other people.

There has got to be a hundred stories like mine and I am pissed for everybody, not just me.

But that does not mean I will give up and roll over..

I never understand post like this; file a dispute with your bank and do a charge back. if your bank hasn't resolved this you need to find a new bank.

I can see the pro's and con's of such posting.

For a pro, it allows others to know that perhaps the company is not meeting their customers expectations. I think a great number of folks learned that with Ares.

But, some of his statements do make him look childish. But $900 is a crap ton of cash to be out.

Is that supposed to be some sort of veiled threat? From all the failed group buys, scams, rockethub, etc that I've seen roll through here and the community at large, it seems like it's quite easy to do so.

As a Rocket hub chump, all I can say is "Ouch!"

If your bank could not even get a hold of the merchant, then your bank would have done the charge back already.

don't get me wrong, i get why people make post like this, what i don't understand is how in this day and age they're not aware of the fraud protection in place at good banks....

Funny that more people dont know this. that is always the first place I head if something is not right

I placed a order a couple of weeks ago #40389 for some ranger plates. Last week I sent an email and have had no response. Today I called and they are no longer accepting calls to catch up on backlog. I would like some way to actually talk to them but apparently that has been taken out of the mix

DWP pulled the same crap on me. Charge my card and failed to deliver in over a month due to supplier issues. I did a chargeback through my bank and now they just changed their policy on 9/9/2014 to not charge customers until the product is shipped and to only charge the amount of the purchase. Sounds like they should have used that policy since day one. It finally took a few banks to threaten their asses to get them to change their policies.

In all fairness, most webstore software charges the card upon order, so it's not really about nefarious motives on the part of the vendors.

When we first set up our old webstore way back when, I noticed this, and decided it was unacceptable. So we got rid of the merchant services gateway and processed the cards only when we shipped. Made for much happier customers. But it is by no means common to do it that way.

Now we have a new webstore that charges upon order, but we make sure nothing that is out of stock can be ordered. We have to monitor that daily.
