FL paste in between upper receiver rails and optics mount?

Anyone ever do this to help minimize scratches? Or any issues with holding zero or stability when doing this?

Please don't take this wrong way, but it's a gun, not a piece of fine China. Don't sweat the small stuff.

However, if I was dead set on trying to prevent scratches, I would use a thin coat of oil and slowly tighten the optic, not a paste.

I've got froglube liquid also that I can use.

I get that the gun is not a piece of fine China, and my user guns have scratches and taken drops all the time in training or use. I get it. However if theres a way I can help reduce wear, why not?
