I bought a brand new AR mag a few weeks back and when I went shooting my friend said the thing held 11 rounds. The first thing I did was take it back to the store since I didn't want to be charged with a felony(?). The store was nice about it and took it back even though it was purchased over a month ago. I bought 2 magpul magazines instead.
Now I started thinking. I bought the magazine in good faith that it held 10 rounds.... during the first time shooting we found out it held 11. Now if I was caught with the thing and the park ranger would have made it a big problem what would have been the worst case scenario even though I had no clue how much it held (the package said it could hold 10)
It also makes me wonder what happens if one of my mags ever gets a worn out spring and I can fit 11 in the future.
All 3 of my M&P 9mm mags only hold 9 for example (even if I use a LuLa speed loader)
I know my question might seem to be a bit on the 'paranoid' side... but with all the laws being added i can't keep up anymore.
