Easiest 80% AR lower to make?

I want to start on an AR pistol build but my machining skills are very limited. So far I have come across the Easy Jig from 80percentarms that seems promising but the jig has a 4 week backorder. Is this one the easiest to do? Are polymer 80s easy to make and are they worth a damn?

Sorry for the basic questions but I'm getting intimidated with what needs to be done to make an 80 lower.

How are you planning to finish it? Mill, drill press or hand tools.

Hand tools I have, I can get access to a mill and drill press I think but I don't know the first thing about using them.

Stay away from eplowers "polymer", 80%arms looks like DIY weekend project with out the need of a drill press. I'll be ordering my easy jig from them next Friday.

Polymer lowers are definitely easier to mill. Especially the old ep lowers. 2 of my buddies and I built rifles on ep lowers earlier this year. Of the 3 rifles I think mine has the highest round count at about 600 so far. None of us have had any issues with the dependability of their lowers. Ymmv on that one, but I believe a lot of the reported problems are from buffer tubes being cross threaded. All 3 of ours tried to cross thread so we had to be very careful with the install. This is all moot since atf won't let them sell these lowers anymore.

Aluminum isn't that hard to do if you have a jig and access to a mill. It may take a little more time but is actually pretty straight forward. One of my buddies got a lower and jig from hellfire armory and was able to build his rifle in about 3 hours using a mill to machine the lower.
