Gun giveaway ads?

Sorry if the title is misleading, but I have a question about these. So, we living in California who enter to win firearms actually ever win? I in general never win anything, but I still enter free contests to try, you never know. Anyway because our laws are so outragious here do the contest holders look at our info see "CA" and say "forget it they can't legally own this gun anyway."? Just curious if any of you have thought about this. Because i get several emails a week about gun giveway stuff.

i think if its CA compliant you can get it. look at the fine print tho of the contest. most will say someting like "...except where prohibited by law..."

Theres a guy on here (bdub209 or something) that won the Gunstruction giveaway where they custom built his rifle based on his design in the app. So that threw out my theory of those companies all just giving the guns to their own employees and gaining new subscribers
