I applaud you for trying and it seems like you know what you are doing. Are you looking for critiques?

I was able to remove mine with just pressure on the screw head.

Did you try it that way before tapping a grove info the screw head?

The stock safety is plenty big.

Don't know if I would use that safety, but doesn't matter.

What matters is, your video was clear, in focus, and well lit, for this I thank you.

I bought a Mossberg 930 Semi Auto about 2 years ago.
              Great Shotgun.
I do not understand how MB could put together such an awesome "Assault/Home Defense Shotgun and put a "Little POS plastic safety switch on it.
I replaced that the first I could.
The SG has some other safety apps. that are great.
But that little plastic safety was stupid.

                OP,

Thank you for a well thought out, clear, and concise video. Lighting and video quality was excellent. I'll probably get two for both my Mossbergs in a few weeks.

I'm always open to critiques. I have a review site at ActionCloseReviews and I am always trying to better myself and writing/videos so they can be useful to everyone who looks to them.

It's a pain because it's a one-way screw, but it can be done without grooving it. I've actually broken a stock safety when trying to just turn it. I wouldn't get a hammer anywhere near it unless you're changing it out. This vid is about upgrading the POS, but someone might stumble upon it in their search on simply removing and installing their stock POS safety. Would suck for them to break the only one they have.

I did try getting it out first without tapping a grove into the screw but it wouldn't budge.
I do hope that everyone knows that when you do work yourself on anything be it your car or firearms, you take the liability of breaking things. **** happens but everything has a fix.

My only concern is that after installing a new safety, your function check should include testing the correct operation of the safety.

Very nice. The only thing I'd change is the dark, patchwork work surface to something lighter-colored.
Dark subject on dark background is difficult to see.
Did my first video of a piece of srchery equipment I made. Zero response lol
