what state to move to? best gun laws?

My job gives me the ability to have bit of freedom so i want to try and find a gun friendly state and constitutional state

    Things id prefer

    Be able to own silencers\suppressors
    Full auto and SBS SBR
    Be able to go Hunting
Not to terrible of winters or summers
I am looking at north Carolina but have not done a ton of research
I would buy a house wherever I moved to.

And to be able to go Kayaking

Also if I moved to NC would I have to get a permit to bring my guns with me? Or is that only to buy new ones? Also do they have a high cap mag ban or anything?

it would be in the next year or two

My choice would be AZ. When I asked a cop on a recent trip there "What are your gun laws like here?", his reply was "What gun laws? I thought everyone carried here", looking at me like "You're not?!"

I wouldn't move somewhere that I had to get a "permit" to move to.

I'll tell you what I tell everyone looking to move to a free state. Don't move for the gun laws. You'll be miserable and it won't work. You have to move to a free state based on all the other things and let the gun laws be the cherry on top.

The reason for that advise is that you will likely give up pay, miss your family, realize what living with bugs and creatures is like, experience crappier weather than you are used to, etc.

When we moved to Nevada it was to be Ble to afford a house and live a slower pace of life. We ended up back in CA 4 years later. When weaves to idaho it was to find a state that was much less populated, have a smaller government and be able to raise our son in a completely different environment than CA. We had settled on Montana, Wyoming, or Idaho. We are still working on going rural, but we are hear and working on it.
Starve the beast, move to a free state.

Kentucky has very few gun restrictions, weather is four seasons but not exceptionally harsh, cost of living is low, and is centrally located. Crime is a problem is Louisville and poverty is epidemic. I love the hills of bourbon country and the horse farms of Lexington. Tennessee is also very nice.

...move primarily for loose gun laws; that rational is too simple minded...

i was born in california. i haven't changed with the times and no longer feel connected to much of what happens here. yet, i'm a california native and the thought of a permanent move is a difficult one when it comes down to decision time. there are ties that bind, and moving would upset some of the equilibrium that comprises much of my life.

arizona has long been in my thoughts as a place to retire to. the gun laws in arizona is a factor. i love the desert and heat has not been a negative for me. there are beautiful desert areas in california, but if i move from my home the gun laws in the close state of arizona are more to my liking; that matters.

Arizona has the best gun laws in the US. They have a state law that makes it illegal to write anti-gun legislation. The northern part of the state has norcal weather.

Thank you and good to hear as I just sold my home a month ago and moving to Lexington in a couple of months with the wife and soon to be born baby. Her family is from there and I'm looking forward to more relaxed gun laws and much much cheaper cost of living. The peninsula real estate pricing is getting out of hand and we want to be able to spend more time with our future kids.

This is the best advice you can get, we came to Idaho mostly for a better place for our kids to grow up. We didn't bring any CA debt with us, I own my truck no credit cards nothing that is something you may also want to think about before moving. I know you say you have a job but if you move then end up having to find something else you may want to think about that.

Utah and Arizona rank as the top 2 gun friendly states in the nation.

As far as bearable weather, wouldn't Utah have an edge?

As an added bonus, cost of living on either state is lower. This means more guns, FYI
