    GSG 1911-22 Sights

Not sure if this is the right place, moderators please move it to the right place if this isn't it....

    Hi all,

I have a very nice GSG 1911-22. After last nights pistol training class I noticed that the sights are hard to see.

My Beretta PX4 Storm on the other hand are quite nice.

So I am looking for help with sights as a replacement set for the GSG.

    Thank you for your thoughts...

Nope. Those wont work. No sighting dots. I am having a hard time admitting that I am having a hard time seeing the gold ones that are on the plastic sights I have.

Thinking I need some bright ones whether that is white or ????

Dawson Precision has fiber optic ones, but you may need to figure out what height/width you want as they offer a whole lot of options: http://www.dawsonprecision.com/Produ...5A3-1388517958

Cool. Which color is the best for all around usage? They also have the trijicon white fronts...

^^^They normally come with extra fiber optic "sticks" in different colors so you can try them. If not, get different colors to try.

I prefer the green one but your preference may be different. Red is the other common color.

I installed Dawson Precision. Takes some fitting with a small jewelers file.
If you install them yourself, work slowly. The slide is made from a Zinc alloy.
You can avoid scratches/file marks on the slide by placing masking tape on the dovetail sides.
Here is a video of Dave Dawson installing/fitting the sights on a 1911:Dawson sight install
