I don't have one but shot one once.
They are big, mean, nasty, gorgeous, awesome guns.
It's way down low on my WTB list.
But it IS on the list.

My brother has one. He decided to shoot it with some handloads and a buffalo bore round to see the difference. The buffalo bore caused the hand loaded bullets to jump out and spill their powder

        I own a few:

However, only two are 500. The other two are 460.

My avatar is the 14" 460 after adding bipod (Atlas) and scope (Leupold 2.5-8x32).

A friend in CT has one. It's his cheapest gun to shoot. Everybody wants to try it so he tells them to buy a box of ammo and they can shoot it. Everybody so far has given up after 3-5 shots and let him keep the rest of the box.

I don't own one but did shoot two of them at the Turner's Outdoorsman Shooting Expo a couple of years ago where I fired the 4" and 6" versions.

Honestly I was pretty apprehensive prior to pulling the trigger the first time and was anticipating a much tougher recoil. After that first shoot I was able to relax and the next 9 rounds were pretty fun but I do acknowledge that I was probably shooting their tamest load for the weapon.

I have one. That and the 45/70 make me want to take up casting boolits.
If it was a snake, it would have bit me.
