Anyone doing free SSE in Sacramento ?

Looking for a pair of CZ's and willing to do the double trip to Sac for FREE SSE & fair price.

What type of CZs? Placer Tactical has two SP-01 9mm Tactical (night sights) in stock, you can order them from his page now to lock them in.

His price is about $45 more than the last price at Bud's - seems very reasonable to me. I don't see any in stock anywhere at major online retailers right now.

Not sure if he can SSE them both at the same time as he will need two SSE barrels, but likely so if you are willing to wait. The SSE waiting list will be getting longer by the day at all FFLs, and fitting two in at once will require some coordination.

I handled one a couple of weeks back, a little heavy with the steel frame but no worse than a Beretta 92 I guess.

Sorry to stray off topic, but if one were to order off of Placer Tac's website, would Rick call to set up an appointment or do you need to do that? I had some bad luck trying to get in there awhile back.

Too bad you gave up. Your patiences would have been rewarded. He runs two business and is very busy but if you call during business hours he almost always answers. I called him last Saturday and ordered a VP9.

Rick at Placer Tactical has a day business. His gun store is more of hobby for him, but he does treat his customers right. His hours works for me because I work during the day. When he comes to the store, it's when I'm off work too. Also, an important thing to know: he does not come to the store unless you've made an appointment or he has other appointments.

As far as emails or calls, I've had success with emails.

You keep running your mouth er typing about me. I rarely miss any email communication but at times some my go to a spam box. Voicemails do get returned in the order they are received during my BUSINESS HOURS. When I do open which is at 3pm t-f and noon on Saturday, I do at times don't get to my voicemails due to having to take care of my customers that have scheduled appointments. I also have had issues with my voicemail system and some have been lost.

When people call me during my BUSINESS HOURS, I do answer the phone and try to make time to talk to them as well as run a customers dros at the same time. If someone does get a voicemail during BUSINESS HOURS, I could be on the other line, called in to work at my other job, or simply to busy multitasking to take it. I suggest give it a few minutes and call back. I have 7-17 people come in for appointment daily and do get inundated. Right now I work about 90 hours a week, so yes, I am busy.

Since I don't know who you are, I can't go back and look at an email that I missed from you. If I did, I apologize and ask that you send me an email or a PM and enlighten me on which one it was.

from a business stand point, I don't even blame gun stores that even bother to conduct SSE, let alone be scrutinized for it, charging for it.. its only smart business in light of the looming SSE ban (pending veto ).

Why wouldn't a gun store charge for SSE?
They are a business and need to make money. Profits keep doors open, that allows you a place to buy a gun.

Wasn't trying to stir anybody up here, just thought I ask if it was possible to get a free SSE in SAC.

So Ok....SSE, if, or should be charged, that's alright, I can stay local, I don't care, where I shop, as I seem to do enough to go around, was just trying to better my price buying TWO at once, as many here do on a constant basis.

Excellent post! I've been to your store on 3 separate ocasions and was never able to get anyone to sell me a firearm. I didn't ever know that an appointment was required. At least I now know why I was ignored by staff who were engaged in little more than "shooting the breeze" with the regulars.. Fortunately Sportsman's Warehouse is right up the road - so my trips to your shop weren't a waste.

I'm truly sorry that you all haven't been profitable enough to hire sufficient staff to manage your customer load. On the bright side, I'm happy to have discovered SW's discount pricing saved me more than I'd anticipated. I hope things will look up for your business in the future - best of luck to you all.
