But since this is "lead-free" perhaps it will be more successful.

Its a gimmick. The same ballistic results have been repeated by firing a frangible .22 and a regular 22 into ballistics gel.

They do the exact opposite of what you want a SD/HD round to do, yet the same guys that have 9" quad rails completely full and grippods on their AR's continue to buy these.

It looks fantastic, but when you think about what's actually going on with that and a human body, you'll stick with standard JHP. The problem with the round is the petals fragmenting off have no guarantee of hitting vitals and then the core continues, the size of a .38 or even smaller.

And here's a typical response: But... But... I saw ballistics tests with this ammo and it fragmented between the 2-4" mark in the gel!

Then I remind them what ballistics gel really is, a medium to replicate the way SOFT BODY TISSUE will act. ****... I don't know about you guys but I am sure as hell am not just soft body tissue!

I'm definitely no ballistics expert, so until one vouches for this ammo, I'm not buying a single damn round.
