If you find yourself under the legal length, I would suggest this. I used a skinny machine screw with a nut and if you go from the receiver up you can "fix" the stock in the open position. No drastic mods and if you move out; folding stock baby.

I can't see any use for an underfolder receiver... because at the end you have to fix the mag to keep its underfolder or you have to remove the grip and fix the underfolder in the out position to give it detachable mags.

I think you were better off getting an sks and butchering it with a folding stock w/ pistol grip.

Either that or you can move out of the state
