    There's something about Jamaica..

That leads their confiscated guns to be in the absolute worst condition I've seen. Like that sawed off SKS I previously posted, accompanied by the home-made scrap metal stock rifle.

Jamaica has a lot of trafficked hi-points, too, with 15 round ''hi caps'' usually.

Wonder how long these rusty Macs were in service.

I spent a week in Jamaica one day.
Pretty sure I had a good time, still a little foggy on the details.

My brother is an engineer on a roads project there and it is a shixhole. He is hiring private armed security for the engineers and senior people. The road is funded by chinese and couple of their people have been carjacked and robbed of everything but their underwear. He is moving base from kingston to montego bay area because you cannot go out at night safely unless you go to resorts or clubs with security. No defensive weapons allowed at all no pepper spray/ tasers/ etc.

But, aren't guns banned in Jamaica?

I cannot believe that criminals will do whatever they need to do to obtain weapons.

AND, to top that, apparently they don't respect the law forbidding guns. What is this world coming too?

Salt and humidity will do that.

I stayed one year in Montego Bay and our group hired a driver to take us out to Boston Beach where Jerk cooking was developed...

The driver was a former PD and still had his G19. He said that he quit being a cop as he had to shoot too many rastafarians...

In his three years driving, he shot two more as they will rush the van with machetes to rob everyone. He said the real problem is they usually will cut a passenger to show they are serious. Not a life threatening attack, but one that gets the east coast tourists attention.

My thoughts after my first Jamaica trip were- There are a million places to visit before returning to Jamaica...

After my second trip, the Million other places comment still holds true...

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
