Interesting Ammo Shortage Explanation

Yeah, there isn't a shortage anymore. My favorite thing to hear when I'm perusing the local gun stores is hearing tin foil hat people scream that the reason there is no 22lr is because the government doesn't want people to have it in case of a revolution. One time, a salesman pointed out how there were plenty of military calibers including green tip 5.56 on the shelves and this lady said, "That doesn't matter, they don't want us to practice!!!"

lol. Reminds me of some of the TFH stuff I've read. "the gubmint is hoarding .22lr for executions of those who can't be re-educated in the FEMA camps!" come on...

It can't possibly be due to the amount of .22lr purchased compared to the equipment available to manufacture it on. Has to be some silly conspiracy.

Yup. Also remember that since sandy hook, we have 50% more people into shooting. What's the first firearm people usually buy?

It seems like raw components or supply chain issues. Investing the $$$ to deal with a short-term bubble seems risky to say the least. If manufacturers were able to contract out their services I'd imagine that the big name companies would've taken advantage of it already, but who knows...
