Ca model with the loaded indicator. How are you liking the gun? Does the indicator get in the way of the sight picture?

Really like the gun, LCI not in sight picture.

The LCI doesn't bother me one bit.

i like the shield a lot. The loaded chamber indicator really doesn't get in the way. I know it is heresy, but i kind of like it.

I put on an ameriglo front sight and the LCI did get in the way of the front sight slightly

I filed a few millimeters off the tab (that rests on the round in the chamber) and its no longer an issue. The LCI still pops up and functions as it should, but it doesnt pop up as high as it did from the factory.

Aside from that I love the gun.

No complaints at all. I've come to like the LCI. I'm not saying I want one on my P220 Elite, but on my Shield, it seems to fit.

I checked one out at my LGS. Loaded a dummy round and didn't like the sight picture compared to "free state" version. I didn't like that I could see lettering leading up to the sight. I think there are folks "blacking out" the LCI but why not spend a few buck more and SSE one? Mag disconnect annoyed me also.

I can see the LCI when sighting, but it's a distraction not an obstruction. I'll probably file the tab down a bit and black out the lettering and be done with it.

Because I live in Ventura County where they have banned any SSE firearms for CCW holders! Will more counties follow Ventura's lead or is this just something we have to put up with? Luckily I bought the Cali compliant model but I feel bad for all of my friends who want to carry SSE models.

Make sure you match the radius/smooth the edges of the tab on LCI after you file it so that its very similar to what it looked like stock.

Not sure if it would cause malfunctions if you didnt but better safe than sorry. 300~ rounds through mine since I modified it and havent had any issues.

Its very easy to remove, just a roll pin punch and tap out the pin. There is a tiny spring under the rear of the LCI but it doesnt seem to be under much pressure. It shouldnt fly out when you remove the pin/LCI.

Yup. It was a distraction and I already have bad eyes. I removed it. Problem solved.
