Acetone on the metal parts, soak em in it if possible then the paint will come of with an AP brush

dont know what jasco is. Also keep the Aceton away from any plastic parts like handguards as they will be damaged by the chemicals. Also wear gloves acetone is som nasty harsh stuff

Jasco will strip any finish you have off.

Carburetor cleaner does a good job of removing cheap paint. Berrymans B-12 is your friend. I don't think it will harm your park finish

Anodizing and parkerizing are not paint.
Acetone is pretty harsh. I've had luck with Ready Strip, which is far less caustic.

Try hoppes semi-auto cleaner (blue bottle). I used this stuff and a stiff toothbrush to remove krylon off a remington 700 stock. Figured it should do well on the upper and won't harm the original finish.

Yea use a finish stripper because if it is a epoxy version the Acetone or Paint thinner will not work on it.

Jasco is one brand and you can find finish/epoxy strippers in Home Depot or Lowes.

The only problem would be that you could also damage the sealer if the anodized finish is still under the paint and you would need to spray something on as soon as possible.
