Did some Mcgivering tonight for CCW option.

So sometimes the clothes don't permit, so I decided to get creative for my short travel overnight bag.

Tested it tonight with an assortment of clothes, laptop, and books and drawing safely. Works way better than I thought as I expected it would be flimsy, but turned out really solid and the quality holster is great with retention.

This bag never leaves me while I travel, and it locks. With my CCW I am happy with it.

Did you user epoxy or something else to bond the mag holders? Btw what is nsfw?

The origonal site I used to host the pictures; CGN upload or image linking wasn't working last night.

No epoxy needed, just loctited the screws and the girth of the holster hits the mag pouch keeping it from collapsing in, and the backpack keeps it from laying open.

It was a holster for an XD, but it fits my XDS perfect!

When clothing makes ccw difficult, a slightly modified jock strap works wonders. Walmart sells them cheap and all you really gotta do to it is add something for retention.

Doesn't a company already make that; in denim I think? Besides, mine would only hold a Derringer..... and I can't be seen in town with a litle-ol .22. What would people think?

Nice work being creative. I'm always looking for ways to modify what I have lying around rather than run out and throw a bunch of money at a concept by buying the latest and greatest product that I can produce myself with a little ingenuity. Amazes me what people spend for things that they can reasonably produce themselves with a little thought and effort, but many have not developed the skills to be handy making things themselves. I think its a sign of the times. Good job.

I have since made some signifigant backpack upgrades by halving a tub and affixing a holster. It sits upright, solid, and allows a "path" to reach in past wahtever you have jammed in the bag.

I too feel the same. In my shop, its amazing how easily thi.gs can be done with a little thought, creativity, and cheap supplies. Everyone wants to just buy something pre fabricated out of a package. I also notice the lack of motor skills in younger people today. As a 33 year old in college, any lab I have most kids can't do simple things like pour, pipette, or any other fine movements. People laugh at why kids use to string popcorn on thread, but that teachs excellent dexterity and proprioception.
