Obviously you did not read what the OP posted and obviously you have no clue what a question is. MY post was actually RESPONSES to the question posted by the OP in regards to how to determine the fair cost. In fact your rants and attack of me not only were unwarranted but you also DID NOT read any other posts made by the OP like this one:

The major reason for "wobble" is how the take down pinholes and pins are machined and positioned (thought I would give you some info since you are not familiar with the AR style). Since you are new to ARs you must not know that ALL "80%" lowers have the front take down already milled and MANY are made with the rear one milled out as well (it is allowed under BATF&E regs as it is not part of the fire control group, picture below).
As far being machine Mil Spec or custom let me post you some pictures since you are not to familiar with the different styles of ARs:

This is incredible! 3 "80%" lowers in a row with both take down pins milled (it must be a conspiracy).
The reason you want a T6 in 7075 is that if not properly tempered your holes will begin to elongate and wear faster when too soft and you will develop cracks if too hard.
Since the OP stated they are selling the JIGs then of course they would have to do a reliability test to make sure that the jigs align to the proper position to make sure the firearm will function if someone uses their JIG. If they did not and the jigs were misaligned they will be responsible for refunds on the JIG and replace the damaged "80%" lowers as well. They would also want to make sure that once milled that there is no defects in the metal of the lowers as that will also be the responsibility of the manufacturer of the "80%" lower, especially if the customer used their JIG and it was done correctly.
The OP stated they were making "80%" lowers not selling blocks of Aluminum so yes tolerances for the take down pin hole(s), bolt catch, buffer tube, mag release slot, mag button hole and magazine cavity are important as to whether it will fit tight or be sloppy.
Then of course there is all the other custom stuff like:
- Threading Bolt Catch hole
- Threading Take Down Pin holes
- Magazine Cavity inlet angle, length and edge design
- Reinforced take down pin holes
And MANY other custom things that can be done to the "80%" lower by the manufacturer.
PLEASE in the future before bashing anyone on CalGuns you should at the very least READ and EDUCATE YOURSELF on the firearm that is being discussed, that way you don't waste other member's time in correcting your incorrect statements.

As far as pricing, I've always been in favor of the retail price being directly related to how much it costs to make it! So without a patent or Intellectual Property (Microsoft) setting a barrier to entry in that market, the price will be bid down to just a small percentage over cost. Which is great for the consumer, not so great for the maker.
When I see 100% AR15, anodized receivers for $50, I have to ask myself why an 80% bare is $80. You take it out of the machine with maybe 6-8 minutes that aren't done and not have to pay for anodizing. Seems it should cost about $35 at retail...I'm assuming the guy making the $50 100% is not selling below cost.Comment

Yes you are right to a certain point. Forged lowers are at that price point. They are at that price point because its forged and mass produced like KB Homes and all the cookie cutter homes. If you look at a 100% Billet lower receiver they range from $125 to $200 and that is for AR15's. I look at it like this, if you want the same thing everyone else has then go buy a KB Home and that is perfectly ok, but if you want a custom built home then you pay for that custom work.Comment

I find it crazy that you can by an anodized stripped lower for $60-80, and an unfinished 80% lower will cost you more. It's insane!
And, my 80% lower had both the take down pins machined as well!Comment

Hello old gunner, Again you can buy Forged stripped lowers for $60-80 plus tax and dross fees so total would be around $100 for a Forged lower. Our lowers are Billet Lower Receivers. When you go to a gun shop and they have Billet stripped lowers they run around $150-200 and that is for AR15's.Comment
