    Maybe Expunged/But need advice

I have a friend that owns a store and lately been some issues of thefts/robberies in the area. Well he knows that I am a proud gun owner, And asked to talk to me about his situation.

At first I thought ok no biggie probably wants to know the basics. I was way wrong, And I have no idea how to help him.
So I am asking my favorite people what they know and can do.

The situation is this: When he was 18ish he got in trouble for drugs really dont know the specifics all that much. Anyway he went to see if he could get his record expunged, and got told nothing is showing up and asked if he was sure he got charged

So I read on another thread he can send an application in to find out if pass a background check. I then told him he said that that was cool, But wanted to know if I knew a lawyer that can help him with everything.

    So basically I am asking:

    1. Is it even possible that nothing shows up??
    2. If it is possible then could it be that something will show up later (its been 20 some years but maybe)??
    3. Is there a lawyer in the San Diego area that would maybe sit and talk with him about this (He really is not all that worried about money)???

This is not FUD really is a bizarre set of circumstances that I kind of question but he swears is the truth.

This should cover it if the (alleged) trouble was in California.

202 W. Broadway is central court address. General criminal records number = 619-450-5400. Sometimes people get arrested & aren't charged, or beat the case. Sometimes charges are reduced, as in no felonies. I'd simply call Monday see what you find.
Yes I took the pic, no I didn't go swimming!

Other states allow a record to be sealed, so it is all wiped out. But 1203.4 doesn’t do that in California.
