Need help from Shooting Times subscribers

Dear Shooting Times readers:
I submitted a letter to the editor of Shooting Times magazine in Aug 2013, praising the .480 Ruger. I never saw my letter in print, but it was commented on in the May 2104 issue. Somehow I missed seeing my own letter in print, and would like to backorder the magazine for a keepsake, but I don't know which month is was. I donate my old magazines to local doctors offices, and I must have donated the issue with my letter in it. If you subscribe, could you please check your back issues from Aug 2013 toApril 2014 and P.M. me with the month and year of the issue that contained a letter from William M. Satmary. Then I'll what issue to backorder.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

also I thank you for your service to our country.

I love Ruger, all of their products but I personally would not need a .480 unless I was in bear or big game country.
(which I'm not unfortunately.)

I said I would not need, that doesn't mean I wouldn't want one.

my one question and assumption is that the "target grey finish" is on top of stainless steel, correct?

I only got to shoot one of the .480s once so far, I liked it!

You know I'm not really sure what the target grey finish is, and whether it's over stainless steel or something else. That's a good question for the Ruger Forum. All I know it that it's pretty ugly, but also pretty damn tough!

People still read gun magazines and write letters to the editor? I'm just messing with you but seriously I bet the vast majority of younger calgunners almozt never reads them. I read piles of them when I was younger but kind of drifted away from it.
