So I spend a good chunk of my time making up pricing for customers quote requests, and I've noticed I find myself using gun numbers a lot.
I figure out a certain gross profit we want to get on something, and if it comes out to say .225670 I always seem to price it @ .223/ea, or something costs us $4.50/ea and we want to make a dollar on it, the customer gets a quote for 5.56
It popped into my head 'cuz I found myself quoting someone 7.62/ea on something just now and it made me chuckle because a lot of times I don't even notice I'm doing it.
So if any of you Calgunners are ever buying fasteners and you get a quote back that looks like you're buying ammo, it might be me.
Just an observation of some of the weird things that go on in my head.
