    Lubricating Agents

I've been using Hoppes oil to lubricate my firearms, with no issues.

However, are there better lubricating agents, and what do you use?

(And more importantly are there ones you shouldn't use?)

I like Hoppes Elite. I try to keep it simple and uncomplicated.

I am sure all the FL fan boys will chime in about how great it is... NOT

      There are many good oils.
Breakfree CLp, Slip 2000, FroggyLube are the three that i use.

            Froglube FTW!!! Woot!!

I've been using it on my shotguns and pistols, I like it. I've read posts about people having problems with it but I've never experienced any issues.

However, I'm thinking of switching to another similar product called SEAL 1. Froglube is good but its main problem is cost, it is very expensive. Over $30 for a 8oz bottle of liquid, it is ok if you clean only pistols but when you're dealing with 2 12 gauge shotguns every weekend, the cost adds up quickly.

SEAL 1 is $23.17 per 8oz bottle of liquid on Amazon.com. I've bought 1 bottle but have not used it yet as I still have some Froglube left.
