    Off-Roster Single Shot SA Pistol?

    Saw a SA handgun at a LGS today. Counter man said it was off-roster, but they would convert it to a single shot to sell it to me, then I could convert it back.

    Anybody hear of this? Can you esplain it to me? Would I have any legal liability? Is it a scam way to get around roster issues?

      Yes. It's for real - single shot pistols that are longer than a certain length are exempt from the roster.

      It's legal. (For now ... buy up, it'll almost certainly be going away soon.)

      It's not a scam.


      But the bigger question dude - seriously, how have you been here since 2007 and you haven't heard of single shot exemption?
