Is it possible to SSE a HG in state (Ca) have SSE done, put back to OC,, and shipped to another FFL for pick up ?

Not quite. The SSE must be in place at the time of transfer to *you* (technically at the time of DROS, but that's a long story.) So, it's *the final* FFL who would have to transfer it as an SSE.

What you can do is have the intermediary FFL ship it to your local FFL in the SSE configuration, you receive it, then you ship the parts back to the intermediary. That's how we used to do it early on when few FFL-s would do SSE in-house (except that the intermediary was out of state, such as Table Rock Arms in Oregon.)

Just make sure that *both* FFL-s understand what you're doing and are willing to do their part. Some intermediaries won't do it because they don't want to wait for the return of their kits, some final FFL-s won't do SSE at all.
