    Santa Barbara/Goleta Calgunners question

Hey fellas. As noted above I am from this area. The shop I frequent most is the new gun shop in Goleta Called Goodland Guns. Anyways for some reason this whole week his shop has been closed. So I made this thread with the hope that some one may know the answer as to why. So if anyone knows anything as far as whats going on I would appreciate it.
    thanks guys.

Yeah I hope so too. I will check again on tuesday to see if it's open. Hopefully someone that knows what's going sees this thread and clears up any confusion.

His FFL is good til October 2015 so its not that. Wonder if it had anything to do with the shooting at Isla Vista?

Always hate to see local gun shops go under, hope it is still in business.

Well Tuesday of this past week I went over to try to SSE a new gun. When I went there shop was closed with a paper sign saying that it was closed for the day. That has never happened before so I figured something urgent happened. So I returned the next day. It was the exact same thing as well. So on Thursday and Friday I just called and no one answered. Yeah I hope it's still in business as well. Good shop, also the closest shop that does SSE as well.

The same sign was up when I was there yesterday (Saturday) for a PPT: "Closed Today". Had to go across the freeway and got charged $47 for a $35 PPT. I do hope that everything is O.K. with Goodland - Got good vibes dealing with that store.

Isn't getting over charged like that for a ppt illegal? As in you can report them? I honestly don't like to deal with those guys. They over charge on their products far too much and they didn't seem too enthusiastic to help me the couple of times I went in.

Yeah, its been nice with goodland guns to not have to buy from that "other" shop. After they charged me $27 for DROS I was like I'm done with you guys lol.

Not that I buy much locally anymore. Even with gas costs, all the shops from Ventura to OC are cheaper.

This is public land, we're not hunting, we're hiking with guns. There are no deer or pigs on public land

I agree with your statement for the most part. yeah turners and Island view sometimes do have cheaper prices, but Goodland has priced their stuff very competitively to those shops. So I usually end up going back there. Plus 50 bucks for SSE is a sweet deal.

Owner got married sometime in the last two weeks (that's the sign behind the "we're closed today" sign) -- I assume he is/was taking a honeymoon.

Oh I did not see that sign. Thanks for the info. Hopefully he will be back this week. Congrats to Dan.

I hope that you are correct and he will be reopening soon! Had very positive interactions with Dan when I have been in the store.
