MY BUTT FELL OFF!!
I go get my Savage 12fv and a big chunk of the butt pad just fell off!I tried to glue it back but it just no right.Has this happened to anyone else.Can I just replace the pad or do I have to get a new stock?

pretty sure you can replace the pad, you could contact savage and they would probably give you a new one. -

A smith can fit a pad pretty easily.
Or you can be a geek- buy a jig, belt sander and fit a pad you buy from brownellsRule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED
Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)
Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET
Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

How'd that happen? Looks like it caught on something? Easily replaced, even if you need to shape it a bit. If the recoils strong, buy a limbsaver, made to fit. Comes right off with 2 screws.Yes I took the pic, no I didn't go swimming!Comment
