Anyone own the CZ P-09 ?

I have one. However, I'm going to shoot it for the first time today. The reviews have been great. I think it the best kept secret. If you look at the ergonomic and shape on the gun it's basically a polymer 1911. It has a very low bore axis due to the slide riding inside the frame.

The trigger is very good but not great. Very few guns have great triggers out the box. Again, very good DA/SA. DA is not as heavy as most guns ex. my sig 226.

The build quality is exceptional. All the internals are metal. It is a big gun and a little on the heavy side for a polymer gun. For me at 6'7" 270 pounds with big hands it's not a problem.

If it shoots great I'm thinking about buying another. Grabagun has them for $440.

You don't need to do anything to this gun. The grip has great texturing. Both sides of the frame has a place to index you finger. The trigger guard is big for even gloved hands.

I'm literally off to the range to shot it for the first time. I'll update with a range report.

Got mine last week but haven't had a chance to shoot it. Canadadry, what are you doing about the magazine situation?

It's a great shooter and very accurate. I set the target at 20yards and hit the x. I only did that once. That's the shooter and not the gun. Target from the factory was for 25 meters. I think it's set up for point of impact, point of aim at 25 meter/yards whatever. At 20 yards I had several tight groups. The gun is phenomenal.

The only issue is the trigger, I don't know how to explain it. I wish it had a nice crisp break and a more positive rest. These things can be fixed and shouldn't be a deal breaker. It's still a great factory trigger. I'll probably end up buying the trigger upgrade from Cajun Gun Works.

My mags were blocked. I've purchased a lot of guns through SSE. Most retailers will ship the guns with the mags and make it the FFLs responsibility to deal with the mags. Make sure your FFL is ok with getting the gun with the mags.

I bought mine from Brian Nussbaum. OTD was $720. You might be able to do better. If you do the math the $440 price from Grabagun it might be less once you add the fees and SSE conversion.

It came with 2 mags that were block but could be converted back if I were to move out of the Republic.
