    Gene Autry museum

I have herd nice things about the gun collection and was thinking of going their Fathers day. i went to the web site but i could not find much .
I am mostly into C&R rifles from the civil war to WW 2. I am not much into cowboy history. If the gun collection is really special i still might want to go.
    Anybody been their ?

Most of the collection is historical pieces. They do have a nice selection of early colts. Some modern pieces 1911s and m 16. I think some of the collection was donated by Bianchi. Overall well worth the trip imho

I enjoyed the entire museum but it is mostly of the western days. It was cool to see Wyatt Earps dbs he used to clean up the cowboys.

I very much enjoyed my last vist. If you have never been, you need to go. I suspect I will make another visit and spend more time.

The gun collection is on the smaller side but it's a very good one, totally worth it.

The museum is great if you have an appreciation for history. Mostly what I would term "Old West" guns though.

Mostly old west and firearms used in cowboy movies. I really enjoyed looking at them though and think it is well worth the look.

Been there 3 or 4 times.

I enjoyed the Autry museum, its been years since I've been there but I think it would make a very nice fathers day for you.

NOTABIKER, if you ever have the chance to visit the Cody museum, please don't pass it up. I was in aw the whole time I was there and I wasn't really into guns back then (1997) I'm sorry, off topic..

I spent my last birthday at the Autry museum and enjoyed it immensely. It's a great representation of some classic firearms and a lot of film and television history involving guns in Hollywood. Well worth the trip.

As a bonus, Golden Road Brewery is only minutes away on the other side of the freeway and their beer and food is excellent.
