Bushnell 3-9X40 Scope for AR?

guys............. totally new to scopes..............
is this something that i can use on my flat top Ar at the range?
I go to sac valley and they have 100 & 200 yard range for non
members.

I ve heard some good reviews about this . I cant spend a whole lot
more than this so what do you guys think? Also, how far can you really
shoot with reasonable accuracy with it? they do have longer ragnes ove
at sac valley.

I am not sure about the reticle ........i thought mildot is preferable over
this kind of reticle. Is that correct? I know just a tad bit bout mildots
, how they work etc. How do you work this type reticle for various
conditions & ranges? this also have 1/4 adjustments, where as mildots
have 1/8 adjustments.

also, is the price appropriate for the scope?

I just picked up a 3-9x40 scope for my AR.

A Leupold. A few more bucks, but they say its better. I was undecided between it and the Bushnell.

A buddy got the Leupold on his AR, was able to shoot it. Loved the scope and the feel. Had to buy it.

Go for the 3200 series. For the price it's got awesome glass as well as its rainguard coated lens--it will beat the snot out of any leupy in wet/cold weather conditions as you can't shoot what you can't see thru the scope.

That's a good scope. A SWFA super sniper scope is good also and close in price. You could probably find a better price for the sss.

kinda depends if you're looking for a variable or fixed power scope. If fixed the the SSS is a good choice.
