    Tumey Hills

Anyone know if the closed Tumey Hills yet? Last I heard it was still open.

Last time I went by, a couple of weeks back, the gate was closed, but there were still several people who just parked outside and walked in.

If you mean closed in general, no, it is still open to the public. If you mean closed to vehicle access due to fire danger, yep, they already shut the gates

Yeah, I meant the gate. It doesn't seem like a car would present much of a fire danger in any area I've been over there.

It must have to do with the trails that go further in for 4x4's.
Might be something actually growing back there!

                Look on the bright side..
Now you can enjoy one of the other popular attractions to the area- hiking, while you head to your shooting spot.

Obama ended the gun control debate when he decided to arm the Syrian rebels with fully automatic machine guns and rocket launchers. He proved people need guns to protect themselves from tyranny. Did he give the rebels background checks before giving them real assault weapons?

Yeah, that might be it. Not much chance of gopher holes, dry packed mud, and cow poop lighting up.
