Yeah, as much crappy as yelp is at times, posting them on the forum never accomplishes anything. There's no way to get an aggregate rating, no way to search for shops local to your area, and the threads get buried after a week(with the exception of crap like the ares armor mess over in the centerfire rifle forum).

Some shops have people that shill for them including the employees in some cases. You need to go out and make you own judgements. Some very popular shops on cgn are popular for no real reason some have aveage or even high prices that can easily be beat with some research.

But sometimes mall ninja aura, following the crowd, is more important to some than not getting fleeced.
