S&W 41, but $$$$$. Ruger 22/45, or the MK series.
If you can't shoot good, at least look good shooting

Gotta agree, Ruger MK series for value and reliability.

Bad time to take up 22lr due to expense and availability of ammo.

Sure the SW41 is nice but 1 good luck finding one 2 it being affordable.
Same goes with a lot of competition grade pistols.

OP for availability, reliability and value its hard to beat the Ruger MK series. The Buckmark is a close 2nd.

BTW you know theres a rimfire section with a ton of info right?

I can tell you that the M&P 22 is a whole bunch of fun! Is it the best? Probably not. But's it's accurate, reliable and fun.

+ Check the rimfire section. Lots of handgun threads. If you want semi-auto, I'd suggest a MK11 or MK111 Ruger. I like mine!

Ruger easy to work on reliable and plenty of parts if you want to toy with it .Plus they last and last. No need to clean then until they quit working, just keep them lubed.
