Well had a little free time this morning, so I've been wanting to try some new ammo I purchased.
Well some of you know Tehama county range ( BLM ) well....... not so much with the Southern state crowd.
Early 6;30A nice outside good temp some humidity, so OK this is good.
Driving on what's got to be the worst road in Tehama Co & prolly just South of two miles in to the open shooting area, wow nobody on the road and no shoots fired sense I stated up.
Now I arrive at the shooting area and no one, but what I do see, is what most of you see when going to an open (BLM ) range, trash and shell casings for days.
I fire like 10 rounds, and my ammo shoot and cycles fine, so instead of enjoying the range time, I spend the next 2 hours picking up.
I know from some of the post you ( or many of you ) do likewise, and forfeit some or most of your range time to protect the area from closing.
I'm assuming this is so for everyone on CGN.
Their is one thing I wish and that be no more aluminum casings,..... brass or steel only..........why you say, because people won't pick it up, and it's a ***** to do so.
I found only a couple brass cases, and most of those were destroyed so that's why those were still there, the steel well I bring a magnet on a stick, and can make short work with those, still be nice if others would just pack out what they bring in.
P.S. if anyone's got a good way to pick up 22lr,22mag,& 17 I sure would like to hear it. thanks to all who do the deed.....and enjoy your range while you still can.
