    Alternative to gun ban...

Don't ban guns or hi cap mags. I believe that for an effective plan is just ban pre-made ammunition. Make reloading the only way to get ammo. Can I get an Amen?

        Sure sounds like a plan...

Then the next step will be to restrict powder sales. HA!
You can give peace a chance...

If we're going to ban anything, let's ban idiot politicians.

While I'm sure you think that's a great idea OP, you have to remember that in order to get more numbers in support of us, you need to make "getting into guns" as painless as possible. If your buddy says hey I want to get a gun, what do I need to do and you respond,

"well, first drop $300-$1000 on the gun you want."

He or she'll say "Ok, cool that was my plan."

                              But then you say,

"Oh, but you also need to drop $400 on a reloading kit, dies, and cartridge materials and perhaps move into a larger apartment so you even have space to set up a reloading kit..."

                              He'll probably reply,

"well, I can't really work that right now, I guess guns may not be for me."

You've just alienated a large group of people that otherwise my have become gun owners and 2A advocates.

I say this because I'm in that boat. I cannot afford to get a reloading kit right now and I cannot afford a big enough housing unit to set up a table for reloading. If factory ammo went out the window, I wouldn't be able to shoot for a long time.
