need help with gun control paper.

So, I'm helping my gf write her report and she just had a presentation and got blown out of the water. 99% of the class is anti gun including the teacher who mentioned "why do people need ak47s" I dont know why that idiot brought that up but he obviously doesnt know sh*t. Only one girl had her back and yelled "why the F' do people collect beanie babies" one idiot shouted out "because they're cute" pretty much explains the kids in her class.

She mentioned that countries that dont allow guns arent the greatest places to live. North korea, cuba, china etc... Then the teacher mentioned germany, europe etc... Girl friend mentioned the jewish people being taken away back during WWII and he just shruged it off.

The idiot also mentioned that the 2nd am. is only for a militia, it has nothing to do with guns. Man i wish i was there to tell this guy off. I cant wait to enroll back into the school she's going to.

I've looked for info on how gun control doesnt really work... The only good stuff i found was on the NRA website that doesnt help much.

I want her to point out that car accidents kill more people than guns and that states with strict gun laws have higher crime rates. And also anything else you guys can gather up.

Thanks for your help in advance. I want to tell this guy off in the first body paragraph. my gf's going to let me write the 1st and maybe 2nd paragraph. w00t!

she could get John Lotts book the bias against guns. and so on. Wayne Lapierre wrote a book years back about guns that could be helpfull. there are books on this debate. reading your post just shows how ignorant people are about how fragile freedom is and that people today will trade that freedom a little security which cannot be guarenteed.

Thank your neighbor and fellow gun owners for passing Prop 63. For that gun control is a winning legislative agenda.

Gun Facts is an ongoing project to bring honesty into the debate about guns, violence and control.

        INTRODUCTION:

Gun Facts is a free e-book that debunks common myths about gun control. It is intended as a reference guide for journalist, activists, politicians, and other people interested in restoring honesty to the debate about guns, crime, and the 2nd Amendment.

Gun Facts has over 80 pages of information. Divided into chapters based on gun control topics (assault weapons, ballistic finger printing, firearm availability, etc.), finding information is quick and easy.

Each chapter lists common gun control myths, then lists a number of documented and cited facts that directly dispute the gun control claim. Thus when a neighbor, editor, or politician repeats some slogan propagated by gun control advocacy groups, you can quickly find that myth, then rebuke.

Gun Facts is an ongoing project to bring honesty into the debate about guns, violence and control.

I know I am not really helping with what you need, but who is to say that those places arent great to live in? Has she stayed there?

But yes, I can understand your gf's frustration. It can be hard trying to get your point and opinion across to a group of people whos ideals are almost opposite of yours, and there is no one there to support you.

Heh, when I try to argue with anti-gun retards I always come out on top and they beg me to stop making sense. If all else fails, start throwing out civil liberties and how the second amendment is not just a good idea, but the law. And if they are anti-constitution, why are they in this country? If someone throws that guns were for militia crap, ask them who the militia was during the revolutionary war, was it an actual army or was it the colonists? We know it was of every man of age that could bear a rifle. Another heap of crap is this argument that our national guard was our militia. I find that pretty hilarious seeing how the national guard was created decades after the constitution was written, so thats obvious horse doo doo. Most importantly stand your ground, you know your right, and that confidence will support your position.

Of course not. I love it here.

But someone who is already living there might be perfectly fine in doing so. Those countries simply dont look like good places to live in because we are so use to the way things are here.

And I have a lot of family in China, both in the big cities and the rural villages...they are happy there.

So what class is this? In what sort of educational institute? Are we talking a university here? Local community college? High school? What's the deal?
