Collectible Firearms

I was looking through a magazine and saw a collectible Thompson sub machine gun that looked really nice. I went to the web site and they had an assortment of firearms that were done up with engravings and such. Does anyone have or ever had one of these collectible wpns and are they as nice as they look on the site? Thanks.

First question...what's the site? Can't give you an opinion if we can't take a look for ourselves.

Second...is this a real, full auto Thompson? If so, you won't be able to get it in CA.
If it's semi-auto, has a 10 round mag with a bullet button, then they are generally CA legal. FYI, the CA reproductions that Thompson is putting out now come with 10 round drums.

Most collectors go for the most original and historic guns, and tend to avoid the manufactured collectibles. However, some commemoratives have excellent craftsmanship and are in a collectors niche all their own. At the end of the day, buy what you like.
