It's been all over the news today. I can't imagine the outcome if he hadn't been armed.

Outstanding. I'm hoping his teaches his three siblings to shoot as well, so they can fight together if there is a next time. Imagine four people shooting back!

Somehow, we need to get more of these stories into widespread circulation to counter all the BS coming from people like that Richard Martinez. Imagine how many lives would have been saved if one of the victims had a gun to defend himself. Or even if a lawfully carrying bystander was able to stop the attacks.

half of you here are weak and lame that will basically wind up being happy with .22 single shot pistols or single barrel shotguns..

This raises a question: can we take off the bullet button and have a high capacity for home defense? God forbid if we run out of ammo after 10 shots and have to deal with bullet button and magazine change.

You could, BUT you would probably get charged with possession of an unregistered assault weapon.

Personally, I would rather have a shotgun or pistol for home defense, but if your choice is something that needs a bullet button, I would make it featureless so that you can legally take the b/b off.

Better to be judged by twelve than carried by six. Kudos to this man for saving his family, and for keeping one less scumbag off the streets.

Radlock and a spare 10rd mag. As long as you aren't shot, you could make the correct adjustments in 30-60seconds.

Handguns and shotguns are good too
