My wife picked up her brand spanking new Charter Arms Undercover today. Well we decided to take it out and see how she liked it so we headed over to the firing line and put some rounds down range. My wife has always been a wheel gun girl but this is her very first small frame snub nose so it was a new experience for her. After a few cylinders full we decided to make a little wager the first one to hit a hanging tennis ball three times at the 21 foot mark could chose dinner. After a few rounds of back and fourth we were at two hits each, so I moved it back to the wall figuring with a two inch barrel very little chance of her making that shot. Well let me just say I am not a fan of the Olive Garden but I will have the soup, salad, and breadsticks please.

Those aren't bad little guns for the money are they? Sure, they don't have the mechanical smoothness of an S&W, but they actually fit my hand better than the Smiths do. And while kind of odd for an "inexpensive" gun, I mounted expensive Crimson Trace grips on mine, which really facilitates shooting beyond "belly gun" distances.

I do find with mine that I can kind of "outrun" the gun when trying to shoot fast DA strings. Don't know whether that is specific to my gun, will change with further shooting, or is specific to the design (and I just need to shoot slower)? Did you find this with your new gun?
Oh, and my wife tends to be revolver oriented as well. She has a Sig Mk 25 to shoot, but she tends to prefer her GP100 or, for playing, her S&W 617 (both in 4").sigpic
