Ok so I read alot about people that are worried that the government is going to come and take all our guns away.

So I was thinking if people are so worried about this why dont they just sell everything in there arsenal. Then build your own and do your own reloads.

Bam no more worries about the government coming to take your guns, and you are no longer posting about end of days or the zombie invasion.

I actually was just curious as if anyone has thought about this or done this.
Alslo what downside is there too it???

Home built firearms are not the cake walk in the park some people assume. Many people do not have the tools or expertise to make a reliably functioning AR-15 from a 80% paper weight, let alone trying to build something like a Sten from metal stampings. I don't think the government is going to come for our guns in one fell swoop. Think about the proverbial toad jumping out of boiling water, but staying in the pot if you gradually add heat when he's already inside.

Why would I sell firearms that work and replace them with the possibility that I might be able to manufacture my own. I am not an engineer and Im def not a machinist so that would never work for me or 99% of people.


Thats kind of how the world works. You do one thing (that you do well) for money (a job) and you then use that money to acquire things you could not or do not want to make yourself.
