    Are there .22 rifle "action shooting" competitions?

    Just curious if there are action shooting competitions for .22 rifles? I really like shooting .22 but would like to shoot them in an action or tactical setting. Something similar to IDPA but for .22 rifle.

    Are there competitions like that? In California?

    The Phantom Strike Rifle match at Norco has a 22 rimfire division. It is based on USPSA stages.

      The Central California Pistol League and Oakdale Sportsman's Club have a "fun" event once a month that you can use rimfire handguns. I can't see why they wouldn't let you run a rimfire rifle though, call and ask.

        Bill (Timberwolf) used to run them monthly at A Place to Shoot" near Valencia. They were a blast! I used to drive 100 miles each way just to compete in them.

          Steel Challenge has a Rimfire Rifle stage. Plus we shoot a rimfire tactical falling plate match every other month. Any 22 rimfire with any sights fired from sandbags, bipods, rests etc at 6" Steel Plates at 75, 125, 175 yards.

          Kernshootingsports.com or FB Kern Shooting Sports. Next match is July...

          My Wife rifle and mine for it below, don't have to get that fancy though...

          TURNING and turning in the widening gyre
          The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
          Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
          Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
          The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
          The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
          The best lack all conviction, while the worst
          Are full of passionate intensity.
