Range box / Bug out gun carrier

I've been interested in getting a large rolling plastic locking box to transport my firearms. As of now I have 5 long guns and 6 handguns. Now I know my main concern is I don't have enough guns .

I just want something I can throw the guns into, from the safe the night before a range trip to make leaving in the morning quicker. Probably throw ears, targets etc in there. I want something with wheels so its not as heavy. Any Ideas, or do you have any way you transport your guns to the range that works well? It's a pain walking each gun out to the car in pairs of two while making sure no wiley pets or children escape from the garage :P

Get yourself a wheeled Pelican or Storm case. I got mine from www.cases4less.com which is also www.nalpak.com. Currently, if you sign up for their mailer online, they will give you 10% off your first purchase.

Well, I usually don't take 11 guns to the range, so I've never run into this issue.

But if that's what you're going for, you might want to look at the Pelican-Hardigg cases: http://www.casesbypelican.com/hardig...tary/index.htm

Or some of the customized Pelicans by "CasesbyPelican" (SoCal company). Example: http://www.guncruzer.com/m16/12-pack/index.html

I bought a Pelican 1780 for my employer back in 2009, it was used to hold marketing trade show booth materials but you can use it for firearms transportation. That thing is built like a tank with user customizable foam padding inside and wheels for rolling around. It survived for a few years of abuse, and still works.

It was used to protect heavy lighting equipment for our trade show booths, and those had light bulbs in them. It performed flawlessly, we never had a busted light bulb when it was in service.

You can look into it if you want something tough and which will protect your firearms.

I like the Ziegel cases, they are made of aircraft aluminum and made in Long Beach.

Dean Ziegel will custom build a case to your design and specs, if that appeals to you.
I had a custom one made to fit an HHR Chevrolet .
I've never owned the other cases mentioned, but they have good reputations and appear well made !
Regardless, shopping for your special case is lots of fun, enjoy !
Ziegel Engineering is a major manufacturer of sheet metal parts. We use quality materials, take pride in our workmanship, and use cost effective engineering. Products we manufacture are designed for long service and reliability.
              From the site; http://ziegeleng.com/
We specialize in heavy duty cases and containers that are very lightweight and durable. We have a high degree of expertise in working with aluminium and titanium. We can design you a case or container for any application. We have several locking systems, interior designs and methods to produce a product that will meet your needs.

I firmly convinced the case you get from Ziegal will last several lifetimes ! I stuffed mine so full that in order to close it, I stood on over 1 latch and I asked my buddy to step on the other side of it !
If you attend gun shows in Orange County or the one near Upland, he usually has tables with pre made cases for sale, do not be afraid to barter a little, I did !

Thanks for all the responses. A lot of very nice cases in those links. I usually bring most of my guns to the range on an outing. My wife and I will go out to BLM land and often invite friends and just shoot all day. If I'm going to a local indoor range I just throw some handguns in a duffle bag. Thanks Mad dog, I'd be all over that if I were down south
